Allie and her two kids braved the cold to take some fun in the snow pictures. Last year I did a session with them in the fall, so it was fun to mix it up a little. Such a fun family!

I have to say, this cute little guy was very fun to photograph. He wasn't very used to sitting on grass, so it was tricky to get his attention away from it. I love his fabulous smile and the way his eyes crinkle up. What a cutie!

One of my main goals as a photographer is to make fun and beautiful photography available to more people. To that end, I decided to offer UNschool Portraits this year. Comparable in price to school pictures, people can have beautiful portraits that stand out from the sea of sameness.

Special Photo Effects:
I have a number of special photo effects (e.g. black and white, sepia, vintage, urban, dreamy) that I will apply to some of your prints and include in the online gallery for you to view. Let me know if there is a type of effect you would like to see on any particular image.

Studio

Last week my studio light set arrived and I had a chance to use it on Saturday. Presently I only have the black backdrop, but I really love how it looks. This little guy was only 11 days old. We took some with him and his older brother, and then the rest of the kids are their cousins. What a beautiful group of kids.

These were taken mid-summer but I finally got around to watermarking them so I could post them. She is such a darling little girl. She was my second official newborn shoot, and I think two key to a successful newborn shoot is to be flexible with what you want and not to be in a hurry. This is a real advantage to doing an in-home shoot where the mom can easily meet the baby's needs and it isn't too much new stimulation (besides me and occasional bright flashes of light!)
